i have a movie in which i want scenes to be cut out. The scenes are only a few minutes long and and located throughout the movie. What is an easy to use program which will cut exact spots out of a movie and then conncet the edited version back together?

also this movie is in an avi format

ive tried virtual dub but the picture seems to run out of time with the movie when im trying to find the right spots. Is there a program where i can jusmp type in the times of which i want to take out and it will do that?
    eg. 4:26.3 till 5:23.2
    or any other programs?
ive tried virtualdub and easy video splitter

    hi there !
plenty of programmes will do the job.
Sonic Foundry Vegas Video 4+DVD is very easy.
you open movie in timeline and you set in point to start(you can see individual frames) and out point to finish. from there you click file-render as-mpeg 1 or 2 and your all done.
have a look at InterVideo WinDVD Creator 2 it seems very easy although i haven't used for this job.
    Sonic Foundry is also excellent.
    regards
