    Need to know how fire-fighters extinguish Magnesium car fires, safety involved chemicals used, methods, etc., many thanks.

    taking a guess - they just put it out like any fire, once magnesium burns it just becomes magnesium oxide, which isn't very reactive

    well magesium fires require oxigen to burn so if you take away its oxygen source the fire would die

    carbon dioxide seems to be the logical choice for fire fighting

    water is bad cuz it produces hydrogen gas and may explode in your face
