No Voices In Lucasarts Games

Hi

I have DLed Monkey Island 1, 2, 3 & 4 and Day of the Tentacle. Monkey Island 1 and 2 don't have voices anyway, but the others are supposed to have voices for the characters! But they don't!! The games themselves work, and the sound works (background, etc) but no voices! Why not?? How can I get the voices to work?

what you have downloaded is a rip. it means they have ripped out all the bits they think are not needed. so the voices have been removed to save space.

i cant seem to find any on kazaa for monkey island.

but it was on suprnova a while back.

The voices are there, but you need to use ScummVM to start the games...

I DLed ScummVM and it seems to work ok with Tentacle, but a lot of the voices are still missing...

It could be a bad copy of the game. Look for the full .iso if you can find it. If you have Bittorrent, I know Suprnova used to have it, but I can't seem to find it right now. They do have a file called "12 FULL ScummVM Games + Manuals" in the Games section, which might include DOTT.
