I'v only had to do it a few times as I don't buy cdrw's, but I used inacd (belive thats the name)- it comes with nero.

if its a cd/rw in your drive then just right click on the drive and "Erase CD/RW"

i think what it actually say's is "erase the contents of this cd/rw" with a right click
