    NHL Torrents

This tracker specializes in hockey games, particularly from the National Hockey League.
It has a huge team of dedicated cappers and a highly organized one.
A must for all hockey fans.
And you can get upload credits with each post in their forums, making them one of the most active ones you can find.

this tracker turns to invite only tracker!

    # of members: 17669
    # of seeders: 14632
    # of leechers: 171

    pretime: n/a
speed: 4 (downloaded a few to test, some seedboxes, first page shows speeds from 2kB/s to 5000Kb/s)
    content: 10 (definitive hockey tracker?)
    overall: 10

Invites: invite only but invites seem to be in limited supply. Been invite only for a couple of years with a few open signups.

Free leech: Has had sitewide, 14 of the first 100 torrents are free (estimate 43*14 or 600 total as cant filter), has a bonus shop (15gb per 500 hours of seeding). Used to have 2x upload torrents but cant see any.

Ratio: moderate. If you downloaded a lot from a home line it would be tricky to keep a good ratio. Lots of snatches mean you could make 1:1 with a home line and very extended seeding.

Notes: Content and Overall of 10, no idea about hockey or sites related to it but this is the only dedicated one I know about. It has a lot more hockey torrents than the general sports sites I know of and this is directly reflected in these ratings. Sport-Scene only has 24 Ice Hockey torrents for example.

Special Note: This is four sites in one. NHL Torrents, Hall of fame (other USA sports), Footy Torrents and HD sports torrents (hi def from other three). Join one and you are in all four, and stats are shared; a bit like one site with four frontends. Hint: download and seed free torrents on the other sites if you need ratio.

I am finding its easy to maintain ratio on this tracker. Seed bonus is also very helpful in maintaining the ratio.

Call me crazy but committing 2+ hours of your life to watching a game after it's been played ,unless something truly monumental occurred in it, seems a little silly.
Oh course I watch taped cycling events so what do I know.
Note none of the people listed as my friends are actually my friends.

I DVR football games every Sunday. You know...nowadays it's a little hard for me to get up before six or seven at night. So if I didn't record I would be missing out every Sunday.

And I thought my uncle was bad for recording golf games.

I guess what I see as the difference is that with cycling there is not some vast wealth of media detailing every minute of action ,providing boxscores ad naseum and even telling me if a player picked his nose at practice or not.

Anyway and again I could be wrong, but football is a lot like basketball in that individual plays are pretty repetitious and rarely in themselves meaningfully effect the outcome. Some sports on the other hand ( golf, soccer, cycling) have moments of crystal clarity where fate does in fact turn on a dime.

Btw I'm not saying that cycling ( to a cretin ) is more exciting that football ,Nascar or hunting gators.
