    "Disk compression:
NTFS has native built in disk compression available. With FAT you must use a file compression algorythm of some sort. Hundreds out there, none can do what NTFS does: Right-click a NTFS folder, choose Properties, Advanced, tick the "compress" block, click ok and close, and everything in that folder past and future get's compressed, while still visible to the OS as if not compressed. No more unzipping 5 .dll files to re-run that old compressed application."

you can gain a pretty good chunk of space by compressing your secondary hard drives where speed is not essential. i wouldn't compress the C: drive because it would slow the system down, but if you've got an HD that has nothing but movies or music, by all means go ahead and compress it.

NTFS is far better, alot faster for me too.

NTFS is newer than FAT32, FAT32 came with 95B And NTFS with WinNT SP4/5

EDIT: if nfts was so sh*t why would ms be using it in longhorn?
