Thread: Hot Motherboard

1. #1
I recently bought a SOYO motherboard SY-P4VGA (HOME OF THE DRAGON)

I start up windows and hmonitor beeps my computer like crazy.

Error:
Mainboard is over the red zone threshold. Current Temperature: 185.4 F.

I quickly shut off my computer and felt the motherboard. OMG DANG IT'S HOT!

I have a WORKING CPU fan. I also have another fan to cool off my system. What's wrong?

300 Watt Power Supply
Soyo Motherboard
Pentium 4
Western Digital Hard drive (80 gigabytes)
LG dvd-rom/CD-R
Intergrated Video
Intergrated Sound with ac97

My manual says 400 watts minmium for full system boot up. I only have 300. Is that the problem?

Are you sure you're putting the right voltage through the mobo?

That doesn't answer either of my questions.
If I had the definitive answer about your PSU & mobo, I would've answered.
