During Red hat installation it gives you choice of a boot manager, grub and so on, you choose and it will show you the linux and windows. It does it during the installation.

Thats from what I remember, and I installed it about 2 weeks back.

GRUB is one boot loader.... it gives you the options between what OS you wanna boot into....

2 bad GRUB is installed in the actual boot sector of the hdd....so if u just erase the linux partition from inside windows, you cant boot anymore :S

unless you make a repair, of course

Im testing the severn beta of the fedora project from red hat. It works a lot better than red hat 9 and has a cooler bluecurve interface than the bluecurve before.

It still has a number of bugs to stomp out but thats all part of trying out betas, especially on an o.s. like linux where the whole thing is opensource, you can fix bugs yourself instead of submitting a bug report every single time.

I installed Red Hat 9 a month or two ago. I had no problems installing. Once I had the parition made Linux just took care of the rest. It was getting rid of it where I had problems.. =D. Shn is a guru though she can help you with whatever you need.
