windows thinks my dvdrw is a cdrom and wont install it properly!
it is a 1300a (nec) dvdrw, why would this be?
(think it might be a problem with the drivers in the reg?)
any help would be appericated greatly

wat version of windoz u running, like does it say cd-rom, if ur running 98 then sometimes it tends to do it....cd/dvd doesnt need drivers..........burn a dvd, and if it doesnt work...then tell us more detail

Do you mean Windows does, or a burning prog?
If it's a burning prog you may have to download a profile for it.

This could be a very stupid suggestion but anyway
the first thing i would do is run windows update, so if it is that verision of windows you'll find out (though only if there's a patch),
