I'm looking for a program that can convert WMV to AVI or MPG files. I tried VirtualDub, but got codec errors and whatnot. I tried a couple of programs, but most produced poor results. Anyone know a program besides VirtualDub that can convert WMV to AVI or MPG with great results?

I use stoik video converter for wmv to avi or avi to wmv,..
http://www.stoik.com/products/morphm...0_svc_demo.htm , The olny bad thing is you have to enter an e:mail for the download, other than that it works great for a free small program.

Oh, I didn't know TMPEGEnc supports WMV files. Thanks for the info!
I'll just TMPEGEnc for now. Maybe I'll give Stoik Video Converter a shot later on.

I'd just like to sincerely thank you for spelling "losing" correctly.
I see it spelled "loosing" so goddamn much that my brain almost thinks it's correct.

this post is guaranteed 100% parrot-free

TmpgEnc does handle WMV. it does not have built-in support for MOV (QuickTime) files but you can easily install a plug-in that adds MOV compatibility.
