More people should look towards having 2 screens, most modern graphics cards come with the capability now. In Australia you can buy a 17inch screen for AUD$200. If you use graphics progs with floating pallettes, they are indespensable.

I like flatpanel lcd's too, not that I can really afford one right now. One thing to keep in mind is the Viewable Screen size. the viewable area of a flatpanel is about an inch, 1 1/2 inches bigger than that of a regular crt. I miss the screen from my old craptop

one thing about flatpanels- when you show them off, it seems like there's always gotta be SOME asshole who thinks he has to put his finger up against it and wiggle it around to watch the colors go goofy where he puts his finger.

seriously tho, you can get a better size, and features for a LOT better price on a crt than a flatpanel, unless you can get them wholesale.

Hmm, I'm running a 19" Sony Trinitron and I'm loving it. I got it for like $290 on Price Watch almost a year ago. I'm sure you could get a 21" for the same price by now. I hear the Samsung SyncMaster's are pretty nice too.

CRT is definatly the way to go, LCD flat panels are horrible for gaming because the refresh rates are so slow. The only thing that looks better on a LCD is text.
