Flat panels are shit for gaming. Besides, you can get a bigger CRT for the price of smaller flat panel.

Flat panels are for space saving and status.

    I'd stick with CRT too.
You can get a bigger, high-quality CRT for the same money as a flat panel.
Unless space is really, REALLY an issue, I wouldn't recommend LCDs at all really, unless you're the type who likes to impress
    people with your wastefulness.

You still can't beat CRTs for performance.

Flat panels can now be used for games.

My advice to people is always to look for the best, see what features it has, then come back down to what you can afford.

I haven't sussed out flat panels since about July, but I came up with the Samsung Syncmaster 213T 21.3"
    See it here.

This is outside your present price, you may have to hit someone up for a loan!

PS. It would be handy if people could put the country they are in as well as $ sign, as in US$, HK$, AUD$, then we all know how much you have to spend.

Way too much money for a monitor.
You can get a decent HDTV for a little bit more (and larger too)!!!!

I "like" flat panels. It's just that for what you pay for a flat panel, I can get a CRT with 2 to 3" more for the same price. It's just economics.
