    simple, do the following:

    (this tweaks ur registry, so do this first

    1)start>run>regedit>ok
    2)file>export>choose location>save/ok

    =====================================================

    ok, now do this:

    step1: go here and delete this (click on inprocserver32 and press delete button on keyboard, confirm): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Classes>CLSID>{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}>Delete the InProcServer32 value.

    step2: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT>SystemFileAssociations>.avi>shellex>PropertyHandler
    Delete the "Default" value; value should be "{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}" (same value as the folder name for step1)

    hope that helped, i know it did 4 me. info from www.tweakxp.com
