Gah... My parents just returned from a trip to Canada.
One of the things they bought back as a gift was this little dreamcatcher.

Mum had been told by the shopkeeper that it was supposed to "catch any bad spirits and stop nightmares".
Sounded like a bunch of tree huggin' hippy crap to me... but anyway...

We thought it was very nice, and so we hung it over the bed last night.

I swear I've never had such messed up dreams in my life.. and I've had some good'ns in the past, believe me.

My g/f also says that she had some pretty crazy dreams too...

We both woke up and we were all like

It's actually part of the Native American belief. Not tree-hugging-hippy crap. I've got a nice one myself, leather and sinew and bone.

things are quiet until hitler decides he'd like to invade russia
    so, he does
the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
the germans are like "wtf, h4x"

I don't know what spiritual properties they're said to possess, but I think they're tacky as hell.

My deepest apologies to any Native Americans that might be ticked at my 'tree huggin' hippy' comment.

If a dreamcatcher can do what this one did to my head, I shudder to think what a real live native American could do to it.

    I see the problem now.
That is a Microsoft certified DreamCatcher, and you need to go to their
Dreamcatcher Update site and download the latest patches for your
    particular Dreamcatcher.

    Hope I have helped.

    Peace brotherdoobie

    Thanks for the tip brotherdoobie.

I took your advice and went to the M$ Dreamcatcher Update site, and it appears that the dreamcatcher is in fact, running Mac OS X.

This explains the very odd dreams that we had last night.
We are PC users, so our subconscious and the dreamcatcher are not compatible.

    Edit: typos

It probably had a lot of 'tidying' up to do first, so persevere.....
