I used to be able to cancel some programs from executing when Windows XP started, by typing something like "CONFIGSYS" in the Run Menu. Then disabling the item needed.

Now when I type CONFIGSYS, Windows can't find it.

What is the correct thing to type?

    Or "services.msc".
    That's what BlackViper recommends.

Ya true. but he was asking a command for how to control programs that are in startup msconfig-as muchspl2 said.
