Please rate my website and post comments regarding my website, particularly my design and layout, seeing as it's my first website created and structured purely via Macromedia Dreamweaver/Fireworks MX 2004 + Adobe Photoshop 7.

EDIT: Obviously it's no where near as finished, and enhancements are being made currently.

    Thanks

Yeah, the layer mistake could not be avoided, but the scroll bars do a good enough job ...

The text seems fine for me though.

You'd be better doing a framed page, with the title in a fixed top frame and the bottom section (credits/stats) in another fixed frame at the bottom.
Then the center section with the actual content could expand, dependant on resolution.

Also, the "Welcome to my site" prompt at the start is a good way to annoy visitors IMO.

    hi Amarjit!

First of all congratulations on your first work done!

Now some comments which you are probably looking forward to:
    • The welcome popup is too annoying! Its alright if you are going there for first time, but if you are looking forward to regular visitors then for them its too irritating right there
    • The layer is obviously too squished. The scrollbars are ok but the text sometimes is too long and its not the best thing in the world to keep scrolling just to read a bunch of lines.
    • Looking at your code, your css can be edited to make that happen and I am sure you know it well to do it.
    • None of the Downloads work!
Yes they do, but due to your lack of knowledge, they cannot function correctly. For the links to work, it requires a handler for eD2K and Torrent links, the best program to initiate this function is Shareaza.
Well there are other polite ways to convey the same thing! No one likes to hear that right from the webmaster
    • The mouse cursor over the links is an arrow. I am sure you can use some more interesting than that if you want. A hand works fine too but an arrow just doesnt click the whole idea of a link. Looks a little childish.

Otherwise, regarding coding, job well done! I am sure your site will come out as a whole new changed version as far as layout is concerned.

    Cheers!
