Thread: My Computer Makin Noises!

    i jus put in a new stick of 512 ram with a 128 and i turned my computer and after i dialed up to the internet it kept makin the connecting noise and i cant figure out whats wrong can anyone help?

    the modem is makin the sound or is it the comp itself?

    make sure the ram u got is right 4 ur comp. u cant put pci in ddr slots

    I highly doubt that your new RAM is affecting your modem.

    and not even that it&#39;s highly doubtful...
    if you had the wrong type of RAM, it would bluescreen, or just make beepies during POST.
