    i was just wondering if sending a file threw msn is fast ?

    because i was hoping that someone with a fast upload speed is willing to send me some files threw msn ?

    sending files through msn isnt to fast or to slow, i can send files from dial up to dial up at about 3.5kb/s.

    so does that mean i can download from someone at 50kb a sec sicne thats what i can download at from sites ?

    it all depends on how much bandwidth the other persons got, if they've got a 2mb connection (upload) then you can probaly download at 50kb, but remember a ftp server is always gonna be quicker

    apparenltly you cant send large files through msn...i read it once somewhere

    my brothers sent 100mb files over msn before (i wish i had his 1mb connection )

    yeah i have sent a 100 mb file over msn and the speed was pritty good

    Don't forget that MSN messenger transfers the files through one of it's own servers, it doesn't connect you directly, so the bandwidth of this could also have an impact on transfer speeds.
