    I have done some searching and it seems the best option for finding footy content is to gain access to http://fbtz.com/forum/.

    Is this still true? Does anyone know of an alternative to downloading matches and shows such at Match of the Day and The Football League Show?

    Fbtz is the best source for football matches in my opinion but most of the files are hosted on file servers .

    rgfootball.net is in Russian which I do not prefer but footytorrents looks promising and I'll have to check out SportScene.
