Thread: Info On Using My Codecs To Watch Vids Please

1. #1
I haven't tried yet but how do you use the codec program (k-lite codec pack 2.1).

I just assumed it would install itself and kick in when it was needed but.... I had to install in my programs.

So when I download something and a codec is needed will they just kick in or will I have to know how how to utilize them manually?

I generally use the theater in k-lite or quicktime to watch vids.

Obviously a novice to be asking these questions but I want to know before it happens.

I've wasted much time just getting sound and screen design but no picture! LOL!!

suggestions are appreciated ,

thx all

That is what I thought would happen but was confused by all the crap that came with the pack .

It looked as though I would have to open the program or something.

thanks for reply

Step 1: Install.
Step 2: Watch movie.

Pretty easy eh? And just as Stonecoldfreak1 said, wouldn't hurt to try it before posting.

Yeah, but being a novice doesn't mean you shouldn't try before asking these kinds of questions here. And by the way, he could have figured out the answer for himself if he just read the FAQ's and used the f@cking search button.
