True. And you can always check your confirmation mail to remember how to get past their fake frontpage.

That would imply he kept his confirmation mail, many just delete that kind of mails

We've been on the GMail era for a long time. E-mail providers fight to see who gives the most storage space to users for free. Deleting a message with critical information just because it's using 1KB of your allocated 7+ gigs is a clear case of a PBKAC.
