Media player classic (MPC) is the best/lightest for videos.

vlc and media player classic are really the best two options simply because they are very easy and straight forward to use. i normally have both installed in case one has issues.

I use MPC all the time. Never an issue so don`t change for sake of it.

It is good to go with win amp no replacement for this because of the quality and effect in it.

VLC player can handle almost anything you throw at it. I've even gotten it to play slightly corrupted files that other players wouldn't even recognize.
