ive been using one from lamseys site for a couple of days (download express maybe?) and its ok, the only prob is that i am downloading at fast speed (800KBytes/sec) onto a relatively poor PC. i guess this is making the program a little unstable, and it has crashed a couple of times, and doesnt really like me queueing stuff up in download manager.

does anyone else have any ideas of stuff i can use?

id prefer freeware - it only seems right to dl linux with free stuff

Easily FlashGet

Get a keygen or a serial before installing it though - FlashGet Free version is supported by adware, but by putting a valid serial i during installation the adware (AFAIK) never touches your system

Stardownloader is free and has no ad-ware/spy-ware

Looks like flashget is out of business. All links are dead or have notices on them.

I don't like how it restarts every time I back click in IE or restarts every time I copy to clip board. Even with that option unchecked. Many bugs I think.
I see complaints of file corrution with multipart downloads as well. I gave up after several hours trying to grab Photoshop CS. Faster to use emule.

What the hell are you talking about? Out of business? And what notices are you talking about?
FlashGet website
Download FlashGet

It doesn't restart when you copy to clipboard and I have never had a corrupted download with it.

And how the hell can you compare FlashGet with eMule? One is a download manager and the other is a P2P application!
