I don't think I have underpads or baseboard. Or maybe I do have baseboard because it looks like a board and it's down at the base of the room
I'm just going to stick the carpet to that with spray glue. It surely must be very easy.
The area to be carpeted is for one of the offices downstairs in work, I bought exhibition carpet for the whole of the downstairs, the stairs themselves and the landing - and it cost £100. They just let me take as much as I wanted, so I just filled up the transit ftw. The builders laid most of it but then fucked off without laying it in a small office. I haven't paid them for doing it or anything and they seem reluctant to come back for such a small job.
I look forward to the infloor heating and hardwood when I come and lean on the balustrade outside of your log cabin or w.e
The pad is pretty important actually. It keeps the carpet fibers from quickly wearing out between the foundation (or whatever base you have) and the day to day foot traffic. Not to mention the added comfort. Without that, you don't get the comfort of carpet and that kind of defeats the purpose in having it I would think.

Ah, I think you guise mean underlay when you say underpad.
I put the expensive carpet with underlay and grippers upstairs in my office and the meeting rooms.
The carpet downstairs will probably have to be replaced after a few years but wtf, it hardly cost anything.
The hawt burds seem happy enough with the exhibition carpet though and I've said they can come upstairs and walk on the decent stuff occasionally if they take their shoes off.
I thought they called that the boot in England.
