PS I am a avid reader and find that Demonoid and MyAnonaMouse have nearly everything I want.

BookFinder, linked above, and Library Genesis ( http://gen.lib.rus.ec ) come the closest to making up for the loss of lnu content, of what I've seen.

Thanks a lot for the Library Genesis Link. It helped me find a book that I was looking for.

Any tutorial to share about how to use irc for downloading books?

    Try these:

    http://www.calvinshub.com/2008/11/ho...oks-from-mirc/

    http://encyclopediadramatica.ch/Bookz

I did (successfully!) follow the instructions in the first link, but I found a couple of things were slightly different - I think perhaps it might be using an older version of MIRC than what I had. I can't remember what exactly was different ... it was all a little much for me towards the end and I got brain freeze ..... but it couldn't have been too different as I DID manage to download a book.

If you find any further guides or tutorials that are good it would be great if you could post them here.

    thanks for the link mate,
    it was very informative,
i will try out the IRC method tomorrow,

but just one question, since IRC DLing is P2P model, are you obliged to "seed back"(irc analogue) in any way?
or is it completely voluntary to be sharing (or not)?

Actually adeey posted it first, I just didn't see his post for some reason.

And LazyGuy, no there's no seeding. You just download and you're done. Pretty great.
