    I can't get the Remote Desktop to work i've tried steps and softwares i've found on google...
    If i want to remote desktop my pc from my macbook from another country, is this vpn?
    are there any good tutorials? or even, is there anybody willing to help me with a walkthrough?
    ughhhhhhhhhhh
    frustrating. the things i do for torrents hahhaha

    Try logmein (link above), it is so easy to setup and the user interface is soo user friendly.
    Seeing as you bought a mac, you probably won't be able to set up vnc (no offense)...
    But vnc will work too.

    I have used logmein to manage easily over 15 machines and I have yet to have a problem.

    thanks. at the moment i've got my macbook remote desktop-ing with my pc. i just need to figure out how to access it from a different ip address now.
    if all fails, i will check this out

    Another nice program is Team-viewer never had any port problems with it.

    I suggest you to TeamViewer remote desktop control software which is open source and widely used across industry verticals.It is possible to control the desktop using this software irrespective of country locations.
