    What program can i use and how, to extract an image from a video, e.g, press pause and then take the bit i can see at that point

    i've never had any luck with taking a screenshot from a movie with any normal players. if it's a dvd or mpeg file you're talking about, then you can use nVDVD from nVidia. While the movie is running just press F6 and a screenshot is saved. u can download the trial here. then look through ]Alstalavista for the crack.

    when watching the film just press the print screen button on your keyboard.

    no,open you video in winmedia player then at the appropriate frame you can pause and press crtl i or just hit crtl i and viola one screen capture from a video

    son of a gun ,I didnt know that
    I always used crtl i but thats just as handy
