Transistor (with a schmitt trigger config for a clean .6V switch). But so depends on application clearly .... (are we in the 555 timers and full wave rectification era here? I think we may come from the same background.... which is odd you`d go for crimps, 3 point terminations and solder is the way to build a 'redundant' system)
