I heard something similar to do with religion.
If you think that God exists, he does, and if you think that God doesn't exist, he doesn't. Regardless whether he exists or not, it is your belief that defines him or denies him.
Millions of Muslims, Christians and other faiths cannot be wrong. Mind you, millions of Atheists also cannot be wrong. So, who is right? They all are. What they believe in is the foundation of their faith or understanding. Simple as that.
