VirtualDub and avisynth. There is nothing, I know of or have tried, with better control over basically everything.
But.... for ones point and click-ish then I use Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate for quick and easy re-encodes. TMPGenc is fine too just doesn`t use all the cores as well
"Tmpgenc DVDAuthor" I also still use for the seldom occasion now that someone only has a DVD playerHave to run it in a WinXP VM as doesn`t seem to like Winny 8.1 but that maybe because it is a less official release version.... not really an issue as who the hell has a DVD player anymore
