    How do I uninstall IE on windows xp pro, I have searched everywhere for a guide on how to do it but i can only find stuff for windows98/me.
    AOL 9.0 Now with top speed sarcasm that is 5x funnier than normal
    dial up sarcasm complete with AOL instant stalker.

    AOL 9.0 with top speed and AOL instant stalker...more expensive than saffron but worth it!

    that only unistalls the IE update, not IE.

    actually, it is under add/remove programs, on the side of the window, there is a button that says "add/remove windows components" it should be listed in there somewhere.

    Actually, your wrong.

    Yeah it's included within "Add/Remove Windows Components", but it dosen't uninstall it. It only removes references to IE on your computer. Meaning its not on the desktop or within the Start Menu anymore. You still have IE installed. The only way I know of uninstalling IE is by using XPLite.

    wtf? i dont see your issue? the post he was refering to WAS wrong, it wasnt flaming or rude, just good advice.

    You cannot completely uninstall Internet Explorer as it is integrated with Microsoft Windows.

    Why argue about it? Use whatever browser you want...

    Geesh, I can't believe I wasted my time replying to such an inane post.

    I would actually advise against uninstalling IE. You'll need it to visit Windows Update, and to view the occasional, badly written web page.

    NNels112, you would have been right about using add/remove programs if it were any other Windows but XP. It is good of you to offer help though.
