    If you had asked me 10 years ago I would have said yes as it basically made Spielberg's reputation.However I recently had occasion to rewatch it as it was on TV and I can say for a fact that it simply doesn't hold up.

    Some people,not me,complain about Jaws being dated but Duel is vastly more so in both style and substance.

    If taken as a segment of The Twilight Zone it would probably be OK but as a whole movie,way too archaic in a Coogan's Bluff,not so good sort of way.

    OK it's still better than Lone Wolf McQuade but then you could say that about basically anything in comparison to any Chuck Norris movie.

    Oh,and Duel isn't an Action movie. double
