Just to update this thread, we have got a new more powerful server with a faster connection and most importantly DDoS protection. Work has been going ahead to get the server up and running and hopefully it won't be too long before we at least get the IRC online followed a bit later by everything else.

So it's been what 4-5 months since Blackcats went down?
I'll hazard a sad guess that most of the older torrents in BCG is dead(0 peers) by now,
even if BCG does manage to come back up in the near future, it'll have a long and uphill struggle to match and re-upload the library of games(older and waay older) it had before going down.
just like the situation at Demonoid right now.


essentially BCG still remains the best gaming tracker, but only because there are no one else in the field, and its also the reason we can't let it go.
It is sad, unfortunate and almost a personal loss.

BCG News: We have updated the DNS which will take effect for everyone within the next 48 hours (for most people it will take effect sooner). When this takes effect for yourself the IRC will be online, the site has been closed off with a maintenance message however for some final testing once the change kicks in for everyone.
