Has this thread become utterly useless or is there still some point in keeping it here? I've never heard of these trackers that are posted these days and it seems like it's more of an advertising thread now.

Thoughts?

I find this very useful not lately though but it does atract a lot spam like this:

I don't think it should be trashed. This thread can be a very helpful resource for those who are new to private torrenting. Sometimes even for more "experienced" users.

As I see it, if you're starting a new tracker and want to share the link here, that's okay. The problem arises when people abuse the thread post it every day (like it was done with T0rrentDay in the past) or even more than once a day. In those cases posts should probably be deleted and the user warned as staff sees it fit, like KFlint did with some guys some pages back.

Agreed. Some of these smaller lesser known trackers can be as good as their larger counter parts and shouldn't be necessarily snubbed. And like you said, those users who repeatedly post the same tracker should be warned/banned.

Check the OP's post count... all 'she' (duz women ever use tinternetz???) ever bangs on about is this 'successful' site... her account isn't really anything more than a spamming account tbh.

A few sites, yeah, I'm curious about, but when I see this kind off incessant spamming about the same place... it's a definite turn off for me wanting to have a look... smacks of desparation!!!
