    Well I'm looking to upgrade my ram and found some kingston ram cheap was wondering what every1 thought of it. Or maybe some suggestions. I'm only looking for 256MB PC2100 ddr if ne1 knows a good place.

    I would disagree with that.

    Crucial, Geil and Mushkin regularly beat Kingston in comparisons.

    Besides that, all the manufacturers make different grades of memory sticks. Usually the stuff you find on sale at the big chain stores is the lower end product.

    Crappy memory can be the source of endless headaches, trying to isolate the cause of instability and bad performance.

    Not worth the few bucks you save, I don't think.

    Kingson is high quality ram but not the best.

    What about K-byte?
    Never heard of it.

    Ive never seen Greil and Mushkin ram...weird ass names.

    I will agree with 3rd gen noob. Hey bud&#33; How are you doing? Hopefully doing well in Math&#33;



    Regarding the topic: look for ram with low CAS latency, if your motherboard supports it.

    I have a Dell and having faster CAS latency doesen&#39;t do me any good. But I have to live with it...until my next computer...

    hey i have a Kingston 512 mb DDR pc2100 not even 2mos old im looking to get rid of still under lifetime warrenty i also have a stick of 256 mb Samsung DDR pc2100 im looking to get rid of email an offer [email protected]
