This is for a friend i know who is not technically minded at all, she has a chromebook for internet access and it has Chrome OS on it. Is there a safe way for her to use streaming sites? She is a nanny and lives with her employers so does not want to risk getting caught.

They are safe. You don't need to use proxies... only find a site that works and isn't riddled with ads and pop-ups.

If you are concerned, stream a service like Netflix or Amazon Prime. You will have to pay for their services. You can't have free, premium content, and legal all at the same time. You only get to pick 2 of those unless you want commercials.Originally Posted by mysticbertie
