It's just a story in the Star Wars universe, like any of the other shows, books, or games that are not about either of the trilogies. I am definitely looking forward to it!

That was my assumption.
Remember cnmes is a visiting space alien on a first contact mission, so you have to grant her some leeway as her species developed interstellar travel before cryogenics, ffs.
