Gothika Troubles

Hey all, I've been using Kazaa lite for a while and its pretty good. I downloaded gothika and a few others and I have a problem. I wasn't sure which section to put this in, so please forgive me if I put in the wrong area. Anyways, I downloaded the movie but when I play it, no picture, no sound but the counter goes. It says its an .avi codec, but avi player won't show it and bsplayer says overlay failed. What codec do I need? Every message in "details" says its a great movie ,blah, blah. Also, I downloaded it from tons of different searches, "smr", "tmd", and a host of others, any help you can give is greatly appreciated.
