Nasty National Delicacies....

In Sweden, this christmas, thousands of swedes will start eating a delicacy called:
"surströmming" - Fermented Baltic Herring
Its served from a bulging tin containing rotten fish - quite a delicacy - but stinks to high heaven and is loved by connesseurs (? spelling). Its usually served together with fresh cream and chopped onion mixed, boiled potatoes and of course a nice shot of vodka.

Any more??

Well haggis is pretty horrible (made of sheeps insides and all that)...but i likes it!

Isn't there some ghastly fruit called a durian (I think) which is also supposed to smell like rotting fish. I believe it is something of a delicacy in the far east.

As a Scot I would like to get a pre-emptive strike in and say that haggis is not nasty.

The legs on the left hand side of their body are shorter than on the right.
