cuz my comps is getting slow lately and i tried defrag like 15x this week. i check the task manager and nothing is hogging resources. and im starting to urn out of space. i try deleting stuff but for some reason, somethign else is taking up space becuz when i delete almost everythign except the games and movies, theres is still almost 10gig of "i have no clue what is using that"
While a format/reinstall may solve your problem for now, I'd still try very hard to find out what is eating up "almost 10gig of "i have no clue what is using that".

That's a lot of space to leave unaccounted.

so theres no way for me to save some stuff during installation of winxp?
Sure there is.
Before you do the install, create a new partition. Copy anything you want to save into this new partition.
When you install Windows it will just format C:, leaving the rest of your drive alone. [/b][/quote]
hehe how do u create a partion :"> :-"

Download a program like Partition Magic. After that it will all be simple.

right click your current partition and go to resize then create a new partition using up all the space took away from the first partition and then apply it...it wil have to restart the computer to apply the changes and sometimes takes a while.

Well, you only need 5, maybe 10 GB for your OS and programs.
The problem will be getting this set up.
I wonder why PM won't set up another partition with the empty 20GBs?
