I did that , can't say i saw much of a speed increase though.

I always wondered what the turbo button was, it didn't seem to do anything on my old comp.

As for a 33MHz computer, you could run some older distros of linux with graphics turned off, i haven't figured out why you'd want to, perhaps as a router or a print server or a calculator?

Clocker, what are you thinking of?

Forget the turbo button, go for nitrous oxide.
If it doesn't work, at least you can have a laugh about it.

I'll have to safety wire my CPU and RAM right away.

I had an old 33Mhz aptiva, win95, with ran pretty smooth btw.

I got hold of a couple of old 100Mhz processors though, installed an overdrive one on it, so it's no longer a 33 MHz.

I was/am going to install linux, if I can find two network cards that fit, thataway I can turn it into a firewall. It's the best non-dstructive idea I've got.

    "best non-destructive idea i've got"

I would personally use it as a test rig for old hardware, and maybe as a basic server to put my stuff on, with upgraded hard drives
