will it shorten burner life?
I've always played CDs in my cd burners, and every burner I've got still works, even though, right now the majority of them are laying in a pile in the corner of the room.
So I don't think it will shorten their life spans.
"Where did he go, George, Where did he go?"
Of course not, there's the wear and tear of the CD if you play often.
yeh everytime you use a cd it gets damamged. your drive also does (but everything does when its used!
dont worry about a thing!
Not only CD, but optical lens, motor, gears and belts.
the wear and tear (to the cd or the cd reader/writer) is so unbelievably small, its not worth thinking about. Don't worry about it.
yes, using anything damages it! dont worry about a thing though!Originally posted by yxuz@6 December 2003 - 12:52
what about CD ROMs and CD players, do they damage your CDs too?
