Thread: Total Newb When It Comes To Bin. And Cue. Files

    Ok here are my questions. i went to a verified website and i saw grand theft auto cd1 BIN. and i saw sum other games with .CUE.

    1. What type of file is .BIN & .CUE?
    2. How do you open them and do you need a program?
    3. I have even seen some movies with .BIN & .CUE and dont know wut to do so i wanted to ask you guys casue you are all smart with these things.


    I hope you can just click on the .BIN & .CUE file and it will open rire? HOPE IT WILL

    Dont get into the habit of opening BINs and extracting all the contents to burn them. not good.

    BIN is made that was for a reason, its a multi track image that needs the BIN/Cue format to burn audio properly.

    Use Daemon Tools to install the Image without buring it. or you can burn with Alcohol 120% or Nero. and use the burn image option in the software

    agreed, I will never understand why anyone would use isobuster/winiso

    it doesn't make sense, why take a bin and extract it to another folder, just a waste of time and hard drive space

    As for .bin files I use WINISO (download,small file no serial) It converts .bin to .iso (apprx.time 60-120secs.) Then I use RECORD NOW(STOMP) to burn an image cd (iso) (apprx. time for 700 mb 15-25 minutes)

    There you have the cd as if you bought it.
