im looking for a new video card. my budget is around 140 -160 cdn. i was thiniking about a 256mb the radeon 9600 if there are any other suggestions that would be awesome

i would rather get a 128mb 9600 pro, than a 256mb 9600non-pro

damn! i just found out my mobo only supports AGP 4X in that case wat would be a suitable video card

You could get the 9600, but it would only run at 4x agp - then you could get a mobo upgrade later on. I would also wait till after xmas, as prices will come down

I read that there isnt much difference between 4x and 8x agp (im running my 9600 pro at 8x tho)
But i never experienced it myself.

The 9600 pro is realy a nice card btw

The ati radeon 9600 pro is out of my range i checked over here this place has reasonable prices

Where are you located in Canada? You may find a local shop that will have better prices.
