No point to wait till Half Life 2 comes out etc. Radeon 9600 xt can handle HL2 and Doom 3 easy, might aswell upgrade now to play games like POP and Dues Ex 2 which are good.

just because you stick a good graphics card in an antiquated pc doesn't mean you'll run hl2 or doom3 well...
