    OK finally got a DVD burner OK copy images isn't a problem at all I do that with Nero plain simple copy image boom on a DVD.

    Now

    when I convert my avi To DVD with TMPGEnc I get some m2v file???

    OK this is a first for me so can Nero burn this file how what where ???

    if not what other software will do it

    think you should upgrade to tmpgenc dvd but thats only a guess as I don't have a dvdr on my computer, yet.....

    The m2v is just the video only mate...you either have the audio somewhere or you've just encoded the video only.

    m2v
    m2=mpeg2 v=video

    The easest way is to use the templates like you did with vcd etc,except choose dvd instead.But on the first screen change the audio from pcm to mpeg2..Once finished you'll have one mpeg file.

    You then need to author it to dvd disc.Myself use ulead,quick and simple.It'ill also burn to disc or create an image to use with nero

    to copy or backup dvds usedvd x copy(wich ever version you prefer)

    to covert from avi to dvd in contravercial.

    I myself use Sonic foundry'c "DVD ARCHITECT". This sofware will allow you to burn to cdr's and dvdr's and allows yuo to optimize the disk size and menu based or non menu based movies. Its's EXCELLENT for tv episodes. and doesn't require a encoding software.
