Irc Download Timeouts

i get a download a minute in stops and says timeout help plz or syas reset by peer
im on adsl 576kbs btw

For this part. Does the file actually begin downloading (do you see the file transfer in progress?) or is it just the window that pops up telling you you have a file being sent to you?

If it is just the initial pop up, you may need to accept the send before it begins dl'ing. I wasn't to clear as to your problem by the way you wrote your post.

It sounds as if you just got the pop up and did not accept the send, which would cause the timeout. You only have a short time to accept the file before the bot moves on to the next person in line.

yes i accept both popups but after a few mins download cancels
saying either timeout or peer has reset u
