Windows Media Player 9 With K-lite Codec Pack 2.20

I run Windows 2000 Sp4 + all available updates and version 8.1 of DirectX.
After installing codec pack 2.20 am I having seroius playback prolems with any avi, xvid and divx movie in WMA 9..they wont play at all...any ideas??????
The funny thing is that it works in Win XP, I dont wanna run XP because it is far to bloated and horrifying....
Please help me!!! any clues would be helpful...???

Use xp then mate & cut all the bloating out.My xps like a skeleton,besides the boot screen i wouldnt know its xp.Then again i dont have problems with 2k either.
Have you tried reinstalling the codec pack.Tri installing a few at a time.

you have to put in some dll file i read some post on this from paul and others, or you can use a older pack
