is it possible to download files when in hibernate mode? my computer is noisy and i hate sleeping with it on, but when its in hibernate its really quiet

no it is not, hibernate mode is when the computer saves the staus it is at and turn off. So sorry its not, maybe stand by does allow downloading but im not sure if it would help

no you cant do that, hibernating switches off alot of your pc and the Hdd, is one i beleive

to reduce noise you can install silent fan's or reduce the rpm of your current fan's on bios settings, but be warned, you dont want to reduce the rpm too much as it could overheat your processor and other components.

Alternatively you could buy an old celeron system, which hardly makes any noise.

yea just turn off your fans, then you won't have to worry about sound

if you look at my specs robert.... i do have an old celeron system, well not that old, but not that fast , its not like an air conditioner, i think i can handle the noise because in the summer i sleep with an air cinditioner on......ok i lost myself after "if you look at my specs robert" so.....

Heres the real info:

On Hibernate mode: no..... what hibernate does is turn off your computer, saving everything as it exactly was before you hibernated it..... including where the mouse was

On Standby mode: no.... standby shuts down all connections and hard drives....

only option to keep on downloading is turn off monitor
