I'm going to take the easy way out by naming 'groups' of movies. But I have to at least name 25
In no particular order:

1.Blade
2.Terminator 2
3.Aliens
4.Predator
5.Roots (epic)
6.Friday (funny as shit even to this day)
7.Pulp Fiction (totally original)
8.Star Wars Empire Strike Back (epic movie)
9.Highlander (epic movie)
10.House
11.Indiana Jones Temple Of Doom
12.Matrix (revolutionary)
13.Scarface
14.Superman 2
15.Boondock Saints
16.Basic Instinct (totally good atmosphere)
17.Red Dawn
18.Psycho 2
19.Falling Down (lots of messages there)
20.Rocky
21.Trading Places
22.Beverly Hills Cop
23.Coming To America
24.Lost Boys (best vamp movie made)
25.Ghost Dog
26.Ferris Bueller's Day Off
27.The Mack
28.Beat Street (reminds me of my breakdancing days in NY)
29.Die Hard (spawned a subgenre)
30.The Warriors (can you dig it?)

Just off the top of my head
All these movies, for me, have serious replay value.

If you think of it that way then you know you've got a top movie. Of course there are others.

I love war movies but I hated that movie. It was not exciting at all. It's very 'chill'.

1. The Longest Day.

2. The Last Emporeur

3. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

4. David Lynches The Elephant Man.

5. Schindlers List

7. Star Wars (first trilogy)

8. The Terminator

9. Easy Rider

10. The Royal Tenembaums ties with Fight Club

Why do so many people love the Back to the Future series so much (I see it in peoples favorites list all the time).

While I admit that the first one was a riot I though that the second 2 sucked and I didn't laugh once during the either movie.

I guess to each his own.
